African Studies Application and Research Center

Director's Message   The African continent, home to more than a billion people; it is the second largest continent in the world with a surface area of 30,370,000 km². The African continent with 54 countries in total; although it is known for hunger, poverty, drought, epidemic, disease, ethnic conflict and violence, it is also an area where developed countries compete politically, militarily and economically.   Although the African continent is a favorite of foreign investors with its natural resources and cheap labor it provides, it is also seen as an important field by researchers in Turkey due to its strategic importance in the historical process. European Studies Application and Research Center

EUROPEAN RESEARCH APPLICATION AND RESEARCH CENTER (FBUCES)   Message from the Director: Jean Monnet, declared on 5 August 1943 that “There will be no peace in Europe, if the states are reconstituted on the basis of national sovereignty... The countries of Europe are too small to guarantee their peoples the necessary prosperity and social development. The European states must constitute themselves into a federation...” (https://europa.eu/European-union/sites/europaeu/files/docs/body/jean_monnet_en.pdf). This idea was actualized just after the end of the World War II. Hence, the European Coal and Steel Community (ECSC) was established in 1951 and the European Economic Community (EEC) and European Atomic Energy Community (EURATOM) were established in 1957 by Germany, France, Italy and Benelux Countries. These three communities were combined in 1965 and called the European Communities (EC). Finally, with signature of the Maastricht Treaty, it became the European Union (EU). Turkey-EU relations initiated in 1959 at the time that Turkey applied for Associate Membership of the EEC. Fenerbahçe University Innovation and Technology Application and Research Center were established to gather our university's experience in science, innovation, and technology transfer under a central structure to transform knowledge into new and competitive products, create added value, transfer to industry, and commercialize it.   The main objectives of our center are developing university and industry collaborations, providing entrepreneurship training for faculty members, students, and different sections of society, and ensuring that our scientists and students benefit from national and international research support programs and grants.   Our center aims to create a technological and innovative thinking culture by providing technology transfer at the individual, corporate, regional, national, and international levels and contributing to its international competitiveness. About the Center   Fenerbahçe University Cyberspace Studies Application and Research Center (FBUCYBER) is an interdisciplinary research center based at Fenerbahce University, focusing on research at the intersection of digital media, global security, and human rights. Turkish Teaching Application and Research Center

About Us Fenerbahçe University Turkish Teaching Application and Research Center (FBUTÖMER) is a center that provides Turkish education to students who want to learn Turkish as a foreign language based on the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR). In this context,  FBUTÖMER aims to provide an education to foreign students who want to continue their education in Turkey to help their daily lives and express their opinions and feelings in Turkish within the framework of the provisions set out in the Common European Framework of Reference. Students learn life, culture and heritage of Turkish society through Turkish education program. As emphasized in the Common European Framework of Reference, students who want to learn Turkish as a foreign language are first join to a placement test. After the placement exam, in which the student's reading, listening, writing and speaking skills are measured, the students are included in language learning process, with a total of five courses at A1, A2, B1, B2 and C1 levels based on their proficiency levels.
