Computer Engineering

Computer Engineering Department; conducts education, training and research on computer system structure, development and effective use methods. Transforming the data collected in many areas today into information and analyzing it by storing it is an important problem that needs to be solved. The solution to this problem is possible with entrepreneurial, innovative and investigative computer engineers.

Computer Engineering Department provides an international education by considering the scientific and technological developments and the needs of our country. Our department aims to train engineers who are preferred in creative, entrepreneurial and professionals, who will provide solutions to rapidly changing needs in the IT sector.

Our students take courses such as introduction to programming, object-oriented programming and data structures, as well as basic engineering courses in the first two years  after the English preparatory class. With the technical elective courses they will take in the third and fourth years, they have the opportunity to specialize in one or more areas of their choice such as computer science, computer networks and mobile communication, artificial intelligence, software systems or hardware systems. Our students gain the ability to meet the needs of the industry with courses such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, cryptography, cyber security, processor architecture, image processing, big data, cloud computing and embedded systems.

In addition, students in our department have the opportunity to become a student of another department that they are interested in with Double Major and Minor programs.

Our graduates can work in many sectors such as defense industry, telecommunications, sports informatics, medical and banking. In addition, our students who are aiming at an academic career can pursue a career as a lecturer at universities.
