Prostheses are devices that provide function by replacing an organ or limb that has been partially or completely lost for any reason. Orthoses, on the other hand, are auxiliary devices applied to body parts that need to be supported, protected, fixed or corrected for some reason.

This program aims to train orthopedic prosthesis and orthosis technicians to be able to perform aesthetic and functional prostheses that can replace the limb and its functions and orthoses that reduce pain and troubles in pathological conditions related to the musculoskeletal and / or nervous system, increase functionality, regulate and support features, for people who have lost any limb such as an arm or leg for different reasons. The language of instruction of the program is Turkish and the education period is 2 years.

Students who graduate from the Orthopedic Prosthetics and Orthotics program can serve in state hospitals and private hospitals with Prosthetics-Orthotics laboratories, workplaces producing prosthetics and orthotics, or work in their own private workshops.
