Physical Education and Sports Teaching

The Department of Physical Education and Sports Teaching is equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills for the developing sports world, at the same time self-confident, free and democratic, ready for the competitive environment of the national and international field, equipped with the necessary pedagogical formation knowledge, always loyal to Atatürk's Principles and Revolutions. It aims to train prospective teachers.

Sport is one of the most important social phenomena of today's world. Sport is also considered as one of the most important tools of education in raising qualified people needed for the development and development of society. The development of team awareness and the habit of working together and sharing together enables people to be more successful in their lives. Apart from these, it also helps to develop the idea of ​​equality, to respect the rights of others, to work regularly, to act systematically, to gain the ability to plan and evaluate, to adapt to life in an effective, rational and balanced manner. The need for trainers trained in physical education and sports is increasing at a dizzying pace, as we are a country with a young population potential as well as having a very important place in the development and protection of public health. Being aware of this potential power of sports, the Department of Physical Education and Sports Teaching is equipped with all kinds of technology and knowledge for the training of future qualified Physical Education and Teachers in line with the vision of our university.

Our students who graduated from the Department of Physical Education and Sports Teaching can work as physical education and sports teachers in schools affiliated with the Ministry of National Education, as well as academic staff at universities, public institutions and private institutions, private sports facilities, within the General Directorate of Sports and in local administrations.
