Industrial Engineering is a multidisciplinary engineering branch that aims to provide design, planning, organization, integration, control and continuous improvement in production / service sectors and supply chains based on the knowledge and skills of mathematics, science, and social sciences.
With the curriculum prepared in accordance with the requirements of the era and human-oriented, our students; by handling the whole system, the competence of developing effective and efficient solutions to the problems of the system will be gained. Our graduates will have the technical knowledge and skills to work in the vast majority of departments included in the organization chart of an institution. For example, an industrial engineer working in the manufacturing industry (automotive, textile, food, etc.); he can work in areas such as production planning and control, work study, system analysis, ergonomics, operations management, facility design, total quality management, operations research, multi-criteria decision making, and lean manufacturing. He can make sense through brand design and strategy development in the marketing department, and data mining in the sales department. In addition, industrial engineers take part in the field of research and development and can perform applied and experimental analysis. In the information sector, industrial engineers who are active in the digital transformation process with Industry 4.0 also have a good command of software and coding. In addition, they can provide business development, project management and consultancy services.
In addition to theoretical and applied courses, our students will have the requirements of the Industrial Engineering profession with the examination of real case studies, design and application projects, compulsory internships. In addition, our students will be able to improve themselves continuously with exchange programs, Double Major, Minor and certificate programs.
As of the academic year 2022-2023, the medium of instruction in the Department of Industrial Engineering will be English.
