Dietitian which has a 50-year history in our country is one of the most prestigious professions of the century. Nowadays, the importance of nutrition in the protection and promotion of health and diet in the treating diseases is well understood.
Dietitians are the professional group that makes nutrition and dietary recommendations develop programs, and raises awareness of the society about nutrition by using scientific data to provide growth starting from pregnancy, protecting and improving health, and treating diseases.
Our Nutrition and Dietetics Department aims to train communicative, creative, productive, scientifically equipped, investigative, analytically thinking, responsible, patient, tolerant, professionally competent and sensitive, adhering to ethical and universal values, preferred throughout the country and internationally accepted qualified dietitians.
The title of "Dietitian" is given to our students who graduated from the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics, which provides a four-year undergraduate education within the Faculty of Health Sciences. Our graduates primarily work in healthcare hospitals, community health centers, polyclinics, medical centers, specializing in fields such as pediatric dietitian, diabetes dietitian, oncology dietitian, bariatric surgery dietitian, and also work in institutions that offer catering services, food industry, sports centers, schools, nurseries, nursing homes, factories, hotels, research and development centers, pharmaceutical companies, and their own consultancy offices as a freelance dietitian. After graduate education, they can take place in the academic staff of universities.
