Dean's Message

In our rapidly advancing world of technology, our Faculty aims to ensure that you, our dear students, are aware that the primary role of a pharmacist is production. We aim for you to be involved at every stage of the production of herbal extracts, cosmetic products, and new drug formulations as pharmacists, to work in hospitals specializing in diabetes, oncology, and other emerging fields by receiving Specialist Pharmacy Training, to share your knowledge of Pharmaceutical Care and Rational Drug Use with healthcare professionals and the community, to pursue an academic career to address the significant need for faculty members in Pharmacy Faculties, to contribute to high-quality publications, patents, and citations, and to be prepared to take a leading role in the Technoparks and Drug R&D centers of our universities. Our well-equipped laboratories, practice pharmacy, herbarium, and instrumental analysis laboratory, staffed by a competent and dynamic team, aim to develop you into researchers, managers, educators, communicators, decision-makers, leaders, lifelong learners, entrepreneurs, and healthcare providers who will contribute to the improvement of public health.

In our Faculty, which offers an educational program aligned with the National Core Education Program, the curriculum is designed to cover the fundamental functions of drug technology as well as the new clinical aspects of the pharmacy profession. It includes compulsory and elective theoretical courses, laboratory work, and internship applications. Alongside the basic theoretical and practical knowledge essential for the production, control, and marketing of natural and synthetic drugs, there will be extensive patient-focused education. Theoretical and practical knowledge in Cosmetology and Clinical Pharmacy will also be provided. Since pharmacy education aims to impart extensive practical skills in addition to theoretical knowledge, internships in pharmacies, hospitals, and pharmaceutical companies related to the profession are organized for our students. The education program for pharmacists, who are in close interaction with people, includes courses in psychology, communication skills, pharmacy management, and various cultural subjects.

Our aim is also for our students to receive education at international universities with which we have bilateral agreements, through our university, which has received the ERASMUS label. Moreover, besides academic studies related to the pharmacy profession, our goal is to foster unity among students by encouraging them to participate in student clubs and social activities, thereby enhancing their physical, mental, cultural, and artistic talents and qualities.

Dear Friends, who will be the ambassadors of our Faculty's education and training,

With programs offered in both Turkish and English, our Faculty, with its dynamic and competent staff, awaits you at our University to cultivate distinguished pharmacists and valuable names in the scientific community.

With kind regards,

Prof. Dr. Ş. Güniz KÜÇÜKGÜZEL
