In today’s world where exercise and sport participation are on the rise and our athletes are achieving international success, sport has become a widespread social phenomenon and a powerful sector involving state institutions, private organizations, and voluntary structures. Sport sciences, with their various subdisciplines, contribute significantly to enhancing athletes’ performance, promoting exercise, and improving global health through research and technological advancements. In Turkey, numerous subdisciplines of sport sciences, including sport physiology, movement and training science, biomechanics, sport sociology, sport management, and sport psychology, have generated a vast scientific knowledge base. This has led universities to develop programs that train professionals for emerging professional fields. Fenerbahçe University, which was founded under the name of Fenerbahçe Sport Club that has witnessed the rich history of Turkish sport, considers it a duty to contribute to the future of sport, athletes, and sport scientists by leveraging its strong heritage and expertise.
Our faculty aims to educate physical education and sport teachers, coaches, sport managers, and exercise and sport scientists who are essential for creating a healthy society and developing successful athletes by making sport accessible to all segments of society. Our vision is to contribute in the field of sport by raising up qualified and ethic professionals.
The philosophy of the faculty is to develop individuals who uphold their values, employ scientific thinking, and engage in research and inquiry. Our four departments offer a comprehensive curriculum of theoretical and applied courses in various sport science disciplines. To enhance practical skills, our students participate in internships for professional experience and undertake graduation projects to develop research skills. Throughout the four-year program, we provide an active university life where students can grow personally and professionally, have opportunities to participate in national and international scientific and sport activities, benefit from exchange programs, and pursue double majors or minors in disciplines of interest.
Guided by the words of our Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk: "The republic requires intellectually, scientifically, physically strong and highly secure guards!" our faculty is committed to educating and graduating students who are well-prepared for the needs of the industry and supported by our well-qualified academic staff.
With warmest regards and appreciation,
