Prof. Dr. Fatma Kanca
Fatma Kanca was born in 1980 in Çaycuma. She completed her undergraduate education in the Department of Mathematics at Kocaeli University in 2001 and her master's degree in 2004. In 2011, she received her Ph.D. from the Department of Mathematics at Gebze Institute of Technology. She was awarded the title of Associate Professor in Mathematics in 2014.
Between 2013 and 2017, she worked as a faculty member at Kadir Has University. In April 2018, she took on roles such as Head of the Department of Computer Engineering, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, and various committee memberships at Fenerbahçe University, where she began working during its establishment phase. She was promoted to Professor in 2020. Since April 2022, she has been serving as the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture. On December 22, 2023, she was appointed as the Rector of Fenerbahçe University.
She has numerous publications indexed in SCI in international scientific journals in the fields of inverse problems and non-local boundary conditions. Prof.Dr. Fatma Kanca has presented many papers at national and international conferences. Her WOS h-index is 8.
She is married and has three children.
