Pathology Laboratory Techniques

Pathology Laboratory Technician is an assistant health staff who works in cooperation with a pathologist to prepare tissues and body fluids for microscopic examination.

The program aims to train assistant health technicians who can apply new technologies and techniques, have the ability to solve problems, and use hand-eye coordination well. The education period is 2 years and the medium of instruction is Turkish.

Students who complete the program are given the title of “Pathology Laboratory Technician”. Graduates from this department can work pathology laboratories of the state, private and forensic medicine institution, private pathology and cytology laboratories, pathology, molecular pathology, histology and cytology laboratories of university hospitals, veterinary pathology laboratories, and medical companies that provide materials for the pathology laboratory.

Graduates from the Pathology Laboratory Techniques program can transfer to undergraduate programs of Rescue and Disaster Management, Biology, Bioengineering, Biotechnology, Genetics and Bioengineering, Nursing, Molecular Biology and Genetics and Health Management with the Vertical Transfer Examination.
