Fenerbahçe University R&D Summit Was Held

The R&D Summit, organized by Fenerbahçe University’s Innovation and Technology Application and Research Center, was held on April 11, 2025, in the university’s conference hall. The event brought together representatives from academia and industry to share recent developments in research and development and to explore opportunities for collaboration.

The opening speeches were delivered by Prof. Dr. Ş. Güniz Küçükgüzel, Vice Rector of Fenerbahçe University, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Rıfat Benveniste, Director of the Innovation and Technology Application and Research Center.

The summit featured three sessions:

The first session, titled “R&D and Sustainability in Renewable Energy,” included presentations by Veli Özbek (Founder of Özbek Engineering), Yalım Serdar Serdarlıoğlu (Fronius Sales Director), Cevat Ezgin (Founder of Inoflytech), and Emirhan Ardahanoğlu (Product Engineer at Daikin Turkey), who shared current projects and sector forecasts with attendees.

In the second session, the focus was on “Artificial Intelligence and the Entrepreneurship Ecosystem.” Speakers included Cihan Sarı (Founder of EZY SuperApp), Dr. Ergi Şener (CEO of NomuPay Turkey), Ulviye Kayra Ellibeş (CEO of Qavis), and Latif Vardar (CEO of MagicPay), who discussed the latest developments in their respective fields.

In the third session, the theme “Libraries and Archives in the Context of Sustainable Architecture and Technology” was explored.
Asst. Prof. Dr. Hazar Altınbaş, Asst. Prof. Dr. Didem Telli, Asst. Prof. Dr. Hazal Şentürk (Fenerbahçe University), Asst. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Kuru (Sabancı University), and Res. Asst. Doğa Hazal Günaydın (Fenerbahçe University) shared their insights and experiences with the participants.

The event concluded with strong interest and participation from academics, industry professionals, and students.
