Prof. Dr. Ahmet SELAMOĞLU
Selamoğlu who graduated from Orta Doğu Technical University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Public Administration in 1988, in 1990 completed his graduate studies in Istanbul University Institute of Social Sciences, Department of Labor Economics and Industrial Relations, and in 1992, his master's education in European and International Studies at the University of Reading with the European Union Jean Monnet scholarship. Selamoğlu, who graduated from Istanbul University Institute of Social Sciences, Department of Labor Economics and Industrial Relations in 1994, did post-doctoral studies at Cornell University in the United States and became an associate professor in the Department of Labor Economics in 1998. Selamoğlu, who received the title of professor in 2004, retired in 2018 after working in Istanbul University Faculty of Economics and Kocaeli University Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Labor Economics and Industrial Relations for 30 years and worked as a graduate-level institute director of Istanbul Ayvansaray University for one year.
Selamoğlu, who has publications in the fields of labor economics, the union movement, collective bargaining, and human resources management, and projects at the sectoral level, gives seminars and has memberships in editorial magazines, was a member of the Bologna Process National Team for two terms, has membership in Turkey Higher Education Qualifications Framework Working Group, served as the dean of Kocaeli University Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences and took different academic responsibilities in the field of education at the university level. Selamoğlu, who has been working as an official mediation for the Ministry of Labor and Social Security for more than 15 years, served as an independent board member, is a member of Turkish Industrial Relations Association, Turkish Social Sciences Association, Turkish Diabetes Society, Turkish Diabetes and Obesity Foundation and still a member of the Turkish Diabetes Society.
